For our school tour we went to Craggaunowen. It was really interesting- we got to learn all about the past! We saw an old castle and went all the way up to the top! We could see the tops of the trees and the moat they used for protection. We saw the Crannog, there was a fire and we went into the little huts. We saw how they would have used wool to make their clothes. We even saw a wild pig! On our way home we stopped for a picnic in Coole park and had popcorn and played games. It was the best school tour ever!

Van Gough Sunflowers
Have a look at our wonderful sketches of Sunflowers, inspired by Van Gough. Everyone in 1st class is a terrific artist! Next week we will be using oil pastels.
Clay monsters
First we experimented with clay. We squeezed it, rolled it, pinched it and mashed it!
Then we created our very own clay monsters!!
Then we painted them and left them to dry. We then put glue on them to make them shiny.
